About This Book
The Scarcity of the People of the Truth in Most Generations
By establishing the fact that the people of the truth are scarce, this book proves that the notion: numbers are deceiving is actually true, making large numbers an unreliable gauge to determine the truth since the text often reprimands large numbers, as Allah said:
وَإِن تُطِعْ أَكْثَرَ مَن فِي الْأَرْضِ يُضِلُّوكَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ )
"If you obey most of the earth's inhabitants, they will mislead you far away from Allah's Path." [Al-An'im, 6:116] The book features nearly two-hundred scholarly statements supporting this notion and illus- trates the perishing of many past nations, such as the People of Jahiliyyah, because they relied on large numbers to infer the truth. In fact, it explains that although Muslim minorities are frequently ostracised, oppressed, and deemed peculiar, they are often correct, rightfully earning them the title: The Strangers. It concludes that only textual evidence unveils the truth; therefore, Muslims must only rely on textual evidence to ascertain the truth. Hence, relying on popularity, for example, which many Muslims use as a gauge to determine the truth, is wrong since popularity entails following the masses, yet the people of the truth in most generations are scarce.
