About The Translator:
Dr. Mustafa Khattab is a specialist regarding the Quran and has twenty years of experience in Islamic translation. He was a member of the first team that, from 2002 to 2005, translated the Ramadan night prayers (Tarawî) while they were being recited live from the Prophet's Mosque in Medina and the Sacred Mosque in Mecca. At an earlier age, he remembered the entire Quran, and years later, he earned a professional ijâzah in the Ḥafṣ style of recitation with a lineage that dates back to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Dr. Khattab holds certificates in M.A., B.A., and Ph.D.in Islamic Studies in English with honors from the Faculty of Languages & Translation at Al-Azhar University. He taught classes on Islam at Clemson University's OLLI Course from 2009 to 2010; from 2003 to 2014, he served as a lecturer at Al-Azhar University; and from 2014 to 2016, he served as the Muslim Chaplain at Brock University.
