Even the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had no power to alter the Islam religion because it was revealed by Allah. It is believed that there are many distinctions between how men and women pray. In the standing position (Qiyam), for instance, men place their hands below their navel while women place their hands on their chests. But these deviations from the Quran and Hadith are not supported by any compelling evidence.
